Ramon Magsaysay Award Ceremony 2025

Educate Girls received the 2025 Ramon Magsaysay Award at a ceremony in Manila, becoming the first organisation from India to receive the honour.

The award honours our work to break cultural barriers and gender stereotypes through education, helping millions of girls reclaim their right to learn. It recognises a community-led movement powered by girls, families, Team Balika volunteers, Preraks, communities, government partners, donors and supporters working together to ensure that no girl is left behind.

With the support of governments, communities and more than 55,000 volunteers, Educate Girls has brought over two million girls back to school and supported millions more in learning. The ceremony was an opportunity to celebrate this collective effort and the progress made towards ensuring every girl has access to education.
