Dialogue on Girls’ Education
Safeena Husain, Founder, Educate Girls, joined a dialogue hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Lucknow on advancing girls’ education through collaboration across sectors.

In conversation with Shri Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, IAS, and moderated by Dr Noor Khan, Safeena spoke with leaders from government, civil society and industry about the role of partnerships, public systems and community engagement in ensuring that every girl has access to education. The discussion highlighted the value of collective action in addressing barriers that keep girls out of school.
Safeena also spoke about her book, Every Last Girl: A Journey to Educate India’s Forgotten Daughters, sharing reflections on building Educate Girls and the community-led movement that has helped bring millions of girls back to education.
